United Kingdom - Head-turning stripy peppers are back in AsdastoresUnited Kingdom - Head-turning stripy peppers are back in Asdastores" title="Share this link on Facebook">United KingdomMarch 14, 2016Our sweet red and yellow stripy peppers went down a storm when we launched them last summer – and now they’ve returned to selected stores, at the same price of just £1.The brightly coloured
fruit
proved hugely popular with customers for their taste, look and value – and we’re rolling them out to selected stores from today, see the full list here and online at Asda Groceries from 16th March. The stripy sensations feature unique red and yellow vertical stripes, are packed with nutrients, and they have a higher dose of
Vitamin C
than an orange! They’re also around twice the size of standard yellow, red or green peppers and have a naturally sweeter flavour. The new variety is 100% natural and is grafted and harvested by hand in the Netherlands – you can see the peppers growing on the vine above.Their unique appearance also remains when cooking, and can be used in a host of recipes – why not try them in our Good Living recipe for stuffed peppers?Published: March 24, 2016The news item on this page is copyright by the organization where it originatedFair use notice
